Human Nest
VISUAL POEM BOOK, 2024

Human Nest is a poetic exploration of the intertwining of displacement and belonging through language, memory and the body. The piece moves through personal and communal fragments, where roots become unstable, directions become unclear, and voices search for new forms of home. It acknowledges the suppressed urgency carried by displaced bodies and the spaces that hold their traces.
Through rhythm, repetition and silence, the poems in this book shift between rupture and repair, exploring how identities can emerge from movement rather than origin. Human Nest is not a fixed place, but a living terrain that is shifting, porous and open, where the act of nesting becomes an act of becoming.

'Human Nest', in its book form, was part of a group exhibition at ‘Dingen Die Niet Verkopen’ in Antwerp
